Shakas Rock beach and rock pools – a hidden treasure with stunning rock pools perfect for snorkelling. Suitable for both small and big kids – take an umbrella and picnic along.

Sage Cafe & Deli –, this family friendly cafe offers a relaxed environment with truly amazing food. Especially for parents needing a bit of TLC time, there is an in house pamper centre offering massages and treatments while your little ones are entertained in the amazing play area. Well worth a visit.

Burnedale offers a little bit of everything – Eat, Play, Shop, Create is their unique experience on offer. Saturday mornings offer a weekly famers market to add to the variety of options on offer at this lovely old sugar estate. A day will fly by here.

Sugar Rush Park – the perfect spot for the outdoor adventure family with MTB and running trails suitable for everyone. The FloriCafe offers light meals and the Floriculture Centre offers a beautiful selection of cut flowers for sale.

Karibu Nursery Ballito is the oldest nursery in the area with a large selection of shrubs, plants and trees. It has a soft play area suitable for little kids, stunning bakery & deli aptly named The Exceptional Bakery and Deli which sits next to The Exceptional Beauty Salon. Treat yourself!

Flag Animal Farm – undoubtedly one of the most extensive animal farms with over a 1000 animals of every variety. The kids just never get tired of this experience with its many play areas, pony rides, milking and snake shows as well as many many animals to see, feed and pet. Plenty of place for parents to relax while the kids run around. Do yourself a favour and put this on your list of things to do.
