As a photographer do you ever get stuck with how to pose the bride and groom? After your 20th wedding of the year it can be hard to come up with something original to do at every event. I believe that being consistent in your work is key, so I am not suggesting crazy, new poses each and every time. Couple’s have seen your blog and looked through your sample albums so they are expecting to have a similar look and feel for their wedding day, which is why they hired you in the first place.
I use Pinterest as my number one tool for sourcing inspiration. I love to look up various couple poses and to add to my BRIDE N GROOM POSES virtual pin board. Once I narrow down my very favourite poses or photo shoot ideas I then print out physical images and hang up mood boards around my desk so that I can easily view them on a daily basis.
There are always specific ideas that really jump out at me. One in particular was posing a bride and groom on a bicycle. I had never tried this before so I Pinned a few images and saved them down onto my iPhone for reference. It took a few months to find the right couple who would be up for trying something like this but they came along eventually.
It’s not for everybody and that’s ok!

The image here on the left was my number one inspiration for doing this bride and groom pose on the beach with a bike. It reminded me of the seascapes that we have here in The Turks & Caicos Islands and I could imagine playing around with variations of this right here on Grace Bay.
